1. Business-to-Business (B2B) Scope & PECR Compliance
Torquety operates strictly as a B2B Value-Added Distributor supplying mechatronic sub-assemblies (rotary encoders, slip rings, autopilots, ESCs, actuators) to commercial OEMs, system integrators, and engineering firms. In accordance with Regulation 22 of PECR, introductory commercial communications to corporate subscribers (employees of Ltd, PLC, LLP) do not require prior consent, and are conducted under Legitimate Interests. We do not engage in consumer marketing or cold email personal webmail accounts.
2. Data We Collect
We may collect and process the following professional business data:
- Identity & Professional Details: Name, corporate email, job title, department, company name.
- Commercial & Transactional Details: Technical RFQs, CAD files, component part numbers, quotation history, delivery addresses, and billing records.
- Technical & Website Data: IP address, browser type, and anonymous aggregate usage analytics via cookies.
3. Legal Bases for Processing
- Legitimate Interests (Art. 6(1)(f) UK GDPR): To conduct professional B2B outreach and supply precision mechatronic components to relevant UK engineering enterprises.
- Contract (Art. 6(1)(b) UK GDPR): To fulfill quotations, sales orders, evaluation loans (CEUs), and warranty support.

Prospective B2B lead data is retained for up to 24 months from last contact unless an ongoing relationship is established. Statutory tax and transaction records are retained for 7 years under UK HMRC rules. Suppression records are permanently kept to prevent future contact.

Under the UK GDPR, you have the right to access (DSAR), rectify, erase, or restrict processing of your data, as well as an absolute right to object to commercial communications.
