Key Engineering Advantages

High Current

Reliable power transmission with specialized contacts.

Solderless Connection

Seamless integration without soldering for temperature sensors.

Long Life

Engineered for durability and easy mounting in high-speed lines.

Flowpack (horizontal form-fill-seal) machines are workhorses in the packaging industry, wrapping food, bakery goods, and consumer products in plastic film. In a flowpack machine, the slip ring is located in the rotating sealing jaw axis, where it supplies electrical power to the heating elements (sealing bands) and transmits temperature sensor data (PT100, thermocouples) to regulate sealing heat.

Operational Requirements

  • Accurate Temperature Control
Temperature signals must pass without electrical noise or resistance changes, preventing heat fluctuations that ruin package sealing.
  • Minimal Maintenance Downtime
Sealing jaws run at high speeds; replacing worn brushes must be fast and simple.
  • Cost-Efficient Integration
Compact and economical design suited for high-volume machinery.

The Faston slipring: Engineered for Flowpack Lines

  • Faston/Terminal Connections
Pluggable Faston terminals or screw connections that allow fast replacement and completely eliminate the need for wire soldering.
  • Optimized Contact Alloys
Gold- or silver-alloy fiber brushes that ensure exceptionally low electrical noise, protecting delicate thermocouple signals.
  • Robust Power Rating
Supports high-current heating loads (up to 20A per circuit) across multiple channels.
  • Extended Wear Life
Capable of exceeding 100 million revolutions without wear degradation, maximizing machine uptime.
